Read this: it's just simple math.

GOOGLE CASH ... ADWORDS KILLER ... THE RICH JERK
What's the difference?  See my comparison below.

News Flash (May 21, 2007). It's no secret that Google advertising has become more competitive.  It now requires careful testing and special knowledge to be successful.  Google Cash tells you how to beat the system, and keep that money flowing.  But it does take an investment of time and careful testing of your ad campaigns.  But that's about to change for the few people who learn to automate the system, taking out the grunt work.  Read this free e-book from Chris Carpenter, the author of Google Cash.  The whole Google Cash system can be run by new technology, leaving you free to relax, while your money machine keeps chugging away.
Google Cash Strikes Back: Free E-Book

February 24, 2007 UPDATE:  It's finally here!  Google Cash 3 is out.  It's full of new, valuable information.

AdWords Killer: I've been a big fan of Google Cash for three years now.  Google has made many changes over time, making it harder and harder to make a profit.  Google Cash 3 addresses these problems.  But I just read AdWords Killer, a brand new e-book.  This material is amazing.  After scientifically studying AdWords, they have unearthed Google Ad secrets and have found simple changes in your ads and landing pages that will drive your ad rates down and your profits up.  Check it out for yourself.

In The Couple’s Guide to Love & Money I talk about two paths to financial harmony: 1) understanding and changing the way you think about your own and your partner’s financial style, and 2) finding creative ways to increase your prosperity.  Google Cash looks like an outstanding way to achieve #2.

Google Cash is an e-book.  That means you can use it right away by downloading it to your computer.  It details an intriguing, creative way to earn money from home.   In a nutshell, the method is this:

1) Sign up as an affiliate, so that you get a commission when you refer people to buy products over the Internet.  Commission Junction, Clickbank, Share-A-Sale, and many other companies have affiliate programs.

2) Buy ads from Google or other search engines to refer people to the programs you have affiliated with.  The ads are targeted, so that when people search for words that you specify, your ad will come up.

This program has a number of big advantages for couples seeking prosperity and harmony:

bulletIt’s completely portable.  This gives you the freedom to
work at home or on vacation, and to spend time with your
partner and children.
bulletIt requires a minimum of contact with other people.  You
don’t have to make sales pitches, deal with complaints,
take orders, or manage employees.  There’s nothing wrong
with personal contact, but I’d rather spend time having enjoyable
interactions with people I care about rather than with angry or
demanding strangers.
bulletThe initial investment is less than $100.  You don't even need a website.
bulletOnce you set it up, it will pretty much run itself.
You’ll just need to refine it and add to it here and there.

The two steps above, becoming an affiliate and buying ads, make the program sound very simple.  It is and it isn’t.  Those two steps really are all you need to do to make money.  However, there are several tricks you need to know to do this right.  You need to pick the right products to sell, you need to write ads that will induce people to click and buy, and you need to pick the right search terms, so that people interested in your products will find your ads.  If you do any of these things incorrectly, you'll pay more for ads than you make from sales, and you could lose a lot of money.  Google Cash explains how to do these steps correctly.  With persistence, some people are making thousands of dollars a month with this system.

To be frank, even after you buy Google Cash you won’t be on an instant road to riches.  The first few days after I started using this program, I invested $20 in advertising and sold about $60.  I was feeling drunk with success and was almost ready to quit my day job.  But then a few days went by with no sales, and my advertising expenditures about equaled my income.   Making the program work requires careful testing and refinement of your ads and keywords.  It’s definitely work, but if you enjoy computers and psychology, it’s very interesting and pleasant work.  Google Cash is well written, and filled with examples of strategies that were successful for the author.  At $50  $67, this is pricier than most e-books, but it’s a great bargain when you think of it as a business investment that could change the quality of your life.

7/19/04 Update: After about one month of testing programs, I now have several winners which are netting a total of over $100 per week.  I was able to achieve this after putting in only about 15 minutes per day at my computer.  I am happy to report that Google Cash is a system that really works. 9/19/04 Update: As a Ph.D., I'm trained to be skeptical.  I thought that perhaps this method of making money was a short-lived phenomenon that would only work for a short time.  I thought that, as there was more competition, and big companies moved in and took over pay-per-click advertising, that this method would no longer work to make money for people like you and me. I no longer think this.  My earnings keep growing; the method works as well as ever.  There is simply too much creativity involved, and simply too many "micro-niches," for this method to become automated (big companies developing automated routines) or saturated (so many people using it that it no longer works). 11/08/2004 Update:  I had a shocking realization last Friday.  I went to deposit two stacks of checks.  One stack was from insurance companies for patients that I had seen.  The other stack was generated from my Google Cash campaigns.  Both represented fairly typical amounts of money from both sources.  The shocking realization?  The two stacks were for almost exactly the same amount of money (to be exact, the Google Cash receipts were equal to over 99% of my private practice receipts).  There are many factors to be considered, of course.   Both sources of money had required investments of time and money.  But the fact that they were even close sent my mind reeling.  For the first time it really hit home that Google Cash can actually change my lifestyle and provide financial freedom!  This system is capable of generating enough income to replace what you earn from your job.  That means you can do your “real job” when and if  you want.  It means you can do more of what you enjoy, without constant concern about the bottom line.  It really does mean a different way of life.   12/2/04 Update.  I didn’t anticipate that I'd be creating an ongoing journal of my Google Cash experience.  But thoughts keep coming to me, and this seems like a good place to share them.  Making money online is the closest thing I’ve found to “passive income.”  It a great instance of nickels and dimes turning into real money.  Here’s an example of what I mean.  With one of my affiliate accounts I get $2.50 every time someone I refer fills out an online form to provide a “lead” to a merchant.  It’s pretty easy to do this; about 1 out of 8 people who go to the site fill out the form, meaning that I’m averaging around 30 cents per click ($2.50 divided by 8).  I’ve been able to send about 3 people an hour to the site, so that provides about 90 cents an hour, minus the 24 cents  I give to Google for the clicks (yes, I’ve gone wild with this one, upping my per-click bid from my usual 5 cents to 8 cents).  That leaves me with 66 cents an hour, which is even less than the $2.00 an hour I got paid for my first job in high school 30 years ago.  But wait.  Unlike that first job, which was 3 hours a day after school, this money comes in around the clock, nearly $16 per day.  And web surfers don’t take off on weekends – in fact, activity often increases on weekends and holidays.  So the pennies that come in each hour yield about $475 per month.  And I am telling you about only one of many ad campaigns that I’m currently running.  To set up this campaign, I brainstormed for about ten minutes, thinking about all the keywords that people looking for this product might use to find it.  I spent another ten minutes physically setting up the campaign.  I have noticed that campaigns tend to peter out after a while, so I don’t expect this one campaign to support me in my old age.  But it has been going strong for 6 weeks.  I’ve already been paid pretty well for my 20 minute investment. 1/15/2005 It's a new year, and my Google Cash campaigns have started off my year with a bang.  The campaign I mentioned above -- the one I expected to fade out any day -- is still going strong.  And I created a new campaign which is working better than my wildest dreams, earning over $100 per day, sometimes as much as $250.  When I started using Google Cash last summer I expected it to provide a few extra dollars.  By last month I started seeing it as a possible car payment, now as a possible mortgage payment.  There really seems to be no limit -- these methods are tapping into a newly available global economy. 3/17/05 From the "Truth in Advertising" department.  January was a great month for my Google campaigns.  But my fantastic success depended on one very lucrative campaign that took off like wildfire.  That affiliate program has now been discontinued, so I'm back to about $1,000 per month.  But let me put that in context: we've moved and I just got my computer set back up today and haven't worked on my campaigns for about two months.  So that money kept rolling in with no additional effort.  Once you find a few working campaigns, many of them (but not all, as I found out) will keep generating revenue for a long time. 06/09/05 The newly updated Google Cash 2005 is just out.  Something I've really appreciated about the author, Chris Carpenter, is his generosity.  When I first bought Google Cash, I was very appreciative that Chris sent a lot of valuable bonuses along with his e-book.  He provided the 2005 update without any additional charge.  The revised e-book contains much additional information, including new techniques to adapt to changes in Google's policies.   8/2/05.  I've been very busy since our move, and only recently have been able to get back to Google Cash.  I'm glad to report that it still works as well as ever.  I've experimented with a few simple websites (such as www.GetMyFreebies.com), but sending Google ads directly to other people's sites, the classic Google Cash method, seems to still work the best.  The income has been steady, and will make it possible for me to start cutting back on other types of work. 11/4/05.  Just a few thoughts.  When I wrote a book, I thought it would provide enough passive income to retire on.  Having a published book has been lots of fun, and opened the door to a lot of radio, TV, and magazine interviews.  But it has provided only a small amount of real cash, and doing publicity is by no means passive -- it's real work.  A Google Ad campaign is not as glamorous, but it is a more realistic way to produce "passive income" than any other method accessible to regular folks like me and you.  By the way, the campaign that I started in December 2004 (see above) is still going strong, netting about $750 per month with no work required.  Now that's real passive income. 11/18/05.  I guess it had to happen sooner or later.  Chris just raised his price from $50 to $67.  There are Google Cash spin-offs (rip offs?) selling for $97, so it's still a bargain.  If the extra $17 discourages you from getting this book, you're not thinking about it right -- it's an investment which will easily return a profit.  You should be thinking, "I'd better buy this now, before the price goes up again." 1/14/06.  Another year has passed.  Frankly, Google Cash has transformed my life and has become a comfortable source of passive income.  I'm still working, but my retirement is well within reach, thanks to these techniques.  This afternoon I'll be taking my 14-year-old son to the bank to open a business account, and then I'm going to teach him Google Cash methods.  What a great way for him to learn writing, math, computer skills, and business!  I'll be giving you updates about his progress over the next few months. 4/22/06. My 14-year-old is starting to make money with these techniques!  With the job market so competitive these days, it's so exciting to me to see that he is developing a skill that actually makes money (don't worry, he's still has to go to college.  This is just his backup).  Now, of course I think my son is smarter than the average bear -- but if a 14-year-old can master these techniques, I'm sure you can too.  By the way, check out his new website at Video-Game-Info.com. 8/25/06.  It's about to happen -- I just got an email from Google Cash author Chris Carpenter about version 3.0.  This is exciting -- he's keeping right on top of the latest Google changes, and it looks like he's found some interesting new tricks.  Oh, by the way, buy Google Cash now and you'll get the update as soon as it comes out.  In fact, once you buy the ebook, you get all of the updates, for life, for free.  11/11/2006.  Good news.  The new GC is almost out.  It was delayed due to an unfortunate circumstance -- Chris' new chapters, hard disk and backup, burned in a lightening fire (not just a marketing ploy -- I saw the pictures).  The new version has many new techniques.  If you order now, you get Google Cash 2006 now, and the new version the moment it comes out, and before it's available to the general public.  11/16/2006.  It's here!  I just got my first installment of Google Cash 2006.  Like most GC enthusiasts, I had figured out that, because of changes in Google, I needed to start building simple websites.  After reading this update, I was happy to see that I was doing some things right, but I also found that I was doing some things dead wrong.  It's full of eye-opening insights, the kind that made me think over and over, "I should have thought of that."  I felt humbled, but hey, I'm just a simple country psychologist, not an online marketer.  Here are some of the things I learned from the GC update:

--You need to build "landing pages," not websites.  There are crucial differences.  And if you don't know the difference, you're losing money.
--Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is all the rage, and it's what all the other guys are touting.  It's a tricky, time-consuming process, it takes months before you start receiving free traffic, and the process will cause you to lose, not gain, profits.
--There are free and low-cost programs that can secretly ferret out the techniques used by the most successful marketers in in any niche market.  You can use this information to create you own highly effective landing pages.

Frankly, I had started to put less energy into my online campaigns lately, but this update has me fired up again.  Chris is amazingly generous -- order his ebook once, and you get updates for life.  I'm going to start applying these new techniques right now.  If you haven't order his book yet, I can't imagine why.

2/24/07.  Straight talk about Internet marketing:  I often get questions about Google Cash and other Internet marketing programs.  I’m going to give you some straight talk about this.  Affiliate Marketing – whether it’s the Google Cash system, Adwords Killer, or something else, it is not a way to overnight wealth.  It’s real work.  This is because of a basic law of economics – any time there is an easy way to make money, lots of people will try to do it, and it will become more competitive.  Frankly, I don’t like claims that you can make 5-figure monthly incomes with affiliate marketing.  These claims are not untrue, but they reflect very hard work, taking advantage of very special conditions.  You can probably make lots of money with a lemonade stand, but not until you’ve invested lots of time and money in advertising, franchising, and building an exquisite stand in a busy shopping mall.  It’s the same with affiliate marketing.  I’ve averaged about $70 per hour doing my online campaigns, similar to what I’ve made doing other professional activities.  So why do I do it?  Well, to get that money, I don’t have to travel 90 minutes to an office.  I can do it for 20 minutes when I’m in a hotel room, and then stop as soon as I get bored, or want to take a dip in the pool.  I can do it without the stress of having to deal with a boss or talking to customers.  It’s fun, it makes good use of my intelligence, and I know that I’m being paid exactly what I’m worth for applying my skills.

Frankly, you can do it without buying one of these guides.  Here’s how: 1) Put up a simple, one page website (if you don’t know how, ask your 14-year-old neighbor to help). Use it to write about a subject you’re interested in.  2) Go to cj.com or  clickbank.com and sign up for affiliate programs related to your topic.  3) Go to Google Adwords and start sending clicks to your website or directly to the programs you signed up for.  4) Keep reviewing your programs, altering them for maximum profits.

If you do this, you’ll probably start out spending more than you make, but you’ll see that it really is possible to make money with affiliate marketing, and after a few months (or maybe a few years) of trial-and-error you'll begin to turn a profit.  You can greatly speed up the learning curve by an affiliate marketing guide.   I’ve purchased 3 e-books:  Google Cash, The Rich Jerk, and Adwords Killer.  They’re all good, they all contain different tips, and the tips in each one helped me make more than 10 times the purchase price.

March 3, 2007:  Compare and contrast Google Cash, The Rich Jerk and Adwords Killer:

Adwords Killer is the newest of these three.  They have scientifically studied how Google AdWords works, and include very effective methods for creating Google Ad campaigns that Google likes.  That means, they'll give you high numbers of low cost clicks.

Google Cash is the original, and with its revisions and updates it's still excellent.  It includes the oh-so-clever method of sending clicks directly to your client's websites.  The updates tell you how to adapt to Google changes.

The Rich Jerk makes entertaining reading -- he has an obnoxious persona (and I have no idea if this is the author's real personality).  What sets this book apart are his "black hat" strategies.  He's not afraid to tell you about high-yield methods that are, well, not exactly illegal, but tend to be frowned on.  Use at your own risk.  This might already have changed, but the Jerk was offering his book for only $9.95, way lower than anything of comparable value.

Hint: Google Cash mentions Adwords Analyzer as a way to maximize profits.  This program performs supply/demand calculations that help you to find the keywords that will provide laser-targeted traffic at the lowest possible cost.  Click here to get this program.

May 21, 2007.  Google Cash Strikes Back reveals the future of the affiliate marketing business.  It tells how technology can automate the whole system.  Your affiliate marketing campaigns can be run by intelligent software, that harvests money from the web like an army of high efficient robots.  Oh, did I mention that this new PDF ebook is FREE!?

October 22, 2007.  Why is affiliate marketing the best business in the world? Maybe this is your first stop on the road to a better life for you and or family, or maybe it's the last.  Like me, you've probably looked into a lot of ways to make money.  I'm convinced that affiliate marketing is the only way left for regular people to become rich, and that the three programs I talk about here are the best way to do affiliate marketing. Here are your alternatives:
1) A J-O-B: The old joke is that JOB stands for "just over broke."  Most wealthy people had one of these at one time (unless they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth) and I wouldn't advise quitting yours right away.  But getting paid by the hour, only getting paid when you're working, and, if you're lucky, getting 3% raises every year will never make you rich.  You'll just stay right where you are.
2) A brick-and-mortar business: Maybe you're thinking of starting your own little shop.  Talk to people who have first.  It's like buying a job, but with two differences -- you can't quit, because you have too much invested, and you can easily lose rather than make money.  Expect to put in about 100 hours per week for a year or two.  The only way out is hiring employees -- which brings with it a host of new problems.
3) Real estate and stocks: What goes up must come ...  When stocks or real estate is going up, everyone has a "system" and tells you how well they're doing.  When the market gets soft, the boasters disappear.  With stocks, you can invest small and have potential profits and losses that are small.  With real estate -- sure, you can make millions, but you can also lose everything and ruin your credit.  Maybe you can get renters to pay your mortgage -- how do you feel about your future and your valuable property being in the hands of strangers?  Managing renters is no picnic.
4) Education and a profession: I'd be the first to recommend education -- it opens your eyes and gives you new ways to think.  But being a professional is a heavy responsibility -- you need to answer to your professional association, state licensing board, and and your clients.  You'll need to store records of each client for years.  Expect to pay malpractice insurance and face a malpractice suit at some point.
5) Selling stuff on the internet: The steps are simple -- buy stuff cheap, store it, and advertise it on eBay.  When something sells, pack it and run to the post office to mail it.  Repeat.  When stuff doesn't sell, throw it away or sell at a loss.  Can you get a constant supply of cheap stuff that will sell?  How much time will you need to invest to make a few dollars profit?  How much storage space do you have and do you want to clutter it up with junk?  I think you're starting to see the problems.
That brings us to affiliate marketing... For most of our lives (unless you're ten years old) this business option didn't even exist.  Affiliate marketing is an incredible business.  There's very little risk of substantial loss -- it only costs a few dollars to test an advertising campaign.  It's completely portable -- you can do it from a laptop on the beach.  There is very little regulation, record-keeping, etc.  You don't need employees, and you can make "passive income" -- money that keeps coming even when you're not working.  I'm convinced that affiliate marketing is simply the best method for getting rich.

Free Bonus: The one piece of information missing from Google Cash is an accurate way to determine when to continue or to stop an ad campaign.  I created my own calculator to solve this problem.  It performs statistical calculations to tell you precisely when to start and stop your campaigns for maximum profits.  This calculator gives you a huge advantage over other Google Cash users.  If you buy Google Cash through a link on this page, I'll send you my calculator for free.  Now I'll also send you this calculator is you buy Adwords Killer!
